Technical Partnership with Aston Martin - Valkyrie Hypercar Program

As Aston Martin’s Valkyrie program technical partner, TenCate Advanced Composites has the skillset and mindset to join in meeting the challenges of developing and producing the hypercar of its generation. Aston Martin set themselves extraordinary targets for Valkyrie, their first ever hypercar.

The Aston Martin Valkyrie is built around a lightweight carbon fiber structure, boasting truly radical aerodynamics for unprecedented levels of downforce in a road-legal car. The Valkyrie engine cover features a primary intake for engine air charging, and a secondary intake for engine bay venting and the channeling of water from the roof to the rear chassis drain points. An aperture in the top of the fin allows the mounting of a central high-mounted rear stop lamp (CHMSL). One of the highest load cases this component has to withstand is high-speed throttle lift off, when the huge volume of air flow into the engine suddenly stops.

The Aston Martin Valkyrie engine cover delivers both structural and high temperature performance, together with a visual quality appearance. The design weight for the complete engine cover assembly including mountings is 4.8 kg.
